On October 4, 1957 the launch of Sputnik-1 marked the beginning of the Space Age.
To commemorate the event IKI hosts the Space Science Days — an annual special event for space scientists, students, and everyone interested in space.

- Quest starts at 11:00 AM
- IKI Doors Open Day starts at 12:30 PM
- Quest starts and ends at IKI premises, but runs in the city. Registration is required!
- Doors Open Day are held at IKI’s exhibition and in the conference hall. The entrance is free (entrance A-4 in the IKI’s building)
